Hey There!
My name is Pei-Chiao Lin and I recently graduated from UCSB with a B.A. in Global Studies and a Technology Management certificate. Photography has always been a hobby of mine since I got my first DSLR in 2015. My hobby turned into a passion as soon as I found myself becoming immersed with the different cultures and perspectives around me. My camera lens gives me a snapshot into a world different from my reality. I have always been international; growing up in Taiwan, moving to Texas, Santa Barbara and then to Copenhagen, I commonly get asked “but aren’t you abroad already?” While this question may phase some, I used it to my advantage. I started taking portraits and landscapes of the places I go and the things I see while traveling, ultimately being able to sell my work and eventually, even have an art show. Through my art, I want to showcase the power of culture, how it shapes the way we think and changes the lens through which we view the world.  Culture may divide, but art unites and through the different lenses from which I’ve been fortunate enough to view the world, I always find myself viewing it through my camera lens 📸
